Preserving and Storing Foods: Separation Techniques for Cookies and Burgers

Cookies and burgers, albeit significantly different in nature, share a common ground when it comes to storage – the need for separation. Be it to prevent cookies from sticking together or to keep burger patties from freezing into one large lump, separation is key.

One could use unbleached parchment paper, popularly known by many as the Hiware, which is renowned for its non-stick properties. This paper is available in pre-cut squares that fit most standard baking sheets and can be used to line trays or to separate cookies or burger patties. It makes the food easier to handle and prevents it from adhering to one another or the container.

Wax stick squares serve a similar purpose. Thin and flexible, they provide a non-stick surface between food items. While both parchment paper and wax stick squares are excellent options, it’s important to select the one that best suits your specific requirements and preferences.
